Old Business –
PPSSD – Julie Kennedy was on the conference call to give a couple of updates. Julie is working on optimizing the flow; they are trying to make the footprint smaller at woodenfrog. They can’t maximize or minimize any more. There is another meeting with the DNR in November. Julie will be sending out a package to the board and to the members of the PPSSD Advisory Committee sometime in the next week. This package will include some ideas on ordinances that the board could pass for this project. The members will be asked to work together on this and have some questions, concerns or advice for the Supervisors at the December board meeting being held on the 4th beginning at 6:00 pm.
Roads & Trails – plowing for the Pucks Point road was discussed. Chairman Nevalainen moved to accept a contract with Greg House contingent on Greg accepting it, seconded by Supervisor Kiner, motion carried. There has been no new news on where Kabetogama stands on the 5 year construction plan with St. Louis County. There will be further review on this matter.
Community Center Planning – Marlene Tomczak wrote letters to Mr. Thomas Bakk and Mr. David Dill asking that our area be included in the FY14 budget so we could possible obtain funding for townships to help with building the new community/town hall. Both responded politely and would keep us in mind. The dirt piles were back dragged around the area of the pad for the future community /town hall.
Other – Chairman Nevalainen spoke with Terry Soderberg about obtaining a canister for cardboard at our site. He said we should be able to get one with no problem but that would happen in the spring of 2013.
New Business – None
Chairman Nevalainen moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:03 pm., seconded by Supervisor Kiner, motion carried.
Respectfully Submitted,
Mary Manninen, Clerk,
Kabetogama Township
