Chair Paul Kiner opened the meeting and conducted Committee business. He then turned to Andy Hubley to kickoff the Comprehensive Plan portion of the meeting
Progress Review:
Andy Hubley (ARDC) reviewed the work plan and schedule for the planning process. Hubley then provided 2 maps of the town. These maps showed some examples of troubled areas and issues that need to be addressed at the public meeting and the comprehensive plan. Also the committee added what should be included or excluded from the maps at the public meeting. Hubley also described some of the problems that he identified on the site visits June 21 and July 10 (prior to this meeting).
Public Meeting Preparation:
The committee decided that the public meeting will be held at 7pm July 24, 2006 at the Kabetogama Community Center. Hubley explained the asset mapping exercise that will be used to understand the public’s concerns. It was agreed upon to have refreshments served at the meeting. Hubley will be sending announcements and posters to be posted around town to Phil Hart for distribution. Hubley will also contact the International Falls Daily Journal and the Voyageur Sentinel to announce the public meeting.
