Old Business –
PPSSD – . Tim H. was called to check on things after a lightning strike. There was damage to the pumps. New pumps were installed. The two lead tanks are in rough shape as far as solids go. When Tim H. first went to pump the tanks, they were so full of grease and oil that he could not pump them, he worked a whole day removing the solids before he could pump. We paid for three trips of grease solids that Tim pumped out of the system last year, that was 6 thousand gallons! Wet wipes are being put into the system also and it is not good. The grinder pumps will have to be replaced sooner rather than later because of the grease, and wet wipes along with other items that should not be put into the sewer system. Our system requires that a fog tank be installed at a kitchen, the county requires an aerator. This information will be brought to any commercial member in this district that is or maybe remodeling their kitchen.
Community Sewer Project – Nothing at this time.
Roads – The ditches were mowed in the area. Not sure if chloride has been put on the township roads.
Community Center – Concern about the septic tanks here at the hall. Tim H. will keep on eye on things in the future and see if there is still water leaking into the tanks.
Other – Supervisor T. Tomczak suggested that at the site at the dump for dumping brush we should have the weeds removed every so often so that people can see where they are baking up to. This may eliminate the debris from encroaching on the road. Tim said he could do this weed removal, when necessary, possibly once a month.
New Business – None
Supervisor L. Warrington made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Supervisor T. Tomczak, all voting aye motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
Respectfully submitted, Mary Manninen, Clerk
