Guests – Bob DeGross and Bill Johnson were in attendance from Voyageurs National Park. They wanted to get some public input on the idea of removing the canisters from the public boat landings here and down at Ash River. They overflow and the order gets very bad at times. All other state parks have no canisters at these types of sites. The board was in agreement that this is a problem and agrees that maybe this is a good idea. A trial run of this may begin this winter and spring to see how things go.
Old Business
PPSSD - Nothing much new here. There was a change order received from Septic Check for an air conditioner for the building at the site with all the electronics for the system that gets too hot in the summer months. SEH is going to split the costs with us on this.
Roads & Trails – There needs to be some grading on State Point Rd soon. Clerk will work up a new contract for Greg House for the 17-18 season for our next meeting.
Community Building – The new digital sign is up and working. Greg House has done some gravel and cat work at the site. Clerk Manninen will contact MATIT to add the new sign to our insurance.
New Business – None
Supervisor Kec moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 pm. Seconded by Supervisor Tomczak, all voting aye
Motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
Mary Manninen, Clerk
