Bob also discussed the summer camping reservation statistics and trends.
Old Business –
PPSSD – Supervisor J. Stegmeir stated that there has been some freeze up at PPSSD. Crandalls has had to come in and do pumping, a valve that seemed to be airlocked was removed and steaming needed to be done. The pipes were flowing freely as of this meeting. All of these issues will cost extra for in 2022.
Community Sewer Project – Supervisor J. Stegmeir gave the approval to pay the SEH bill that we received, and we may be reimbursed for it.
Roads – Nothing new.
Community Center – The alarm went off on our septic tanks. Supervisor J. Stegmeir determined that the tanks were full again even though they had been pumped in the fall. Viitas was contacted on this, but they do not do any pumping until the end of April. The supervisors decided that Crandalls should be contacted to pump out the tanks and we should contact Viitas to investigate why the tanks are filling up so often.
Other – regarding the installation of some type of warning signs or lights at the snowmobile road crossings; Supervisor J. Stegmeir contacted that county and they do not put out those kinds of signs and Supervisor B. Master said that the VTSI does not do that either. Supervisor J. Stegmeir will contact the state regarding this matter since it is a state trail we are concerned about.
New Business –
Supervisor B. Master moved to approve the renewal of liquor licenses for Blind Pig Tap House, Pine Aire Resort and Sandy Point Resort and The Rocky Ledge seconded by Supervisor J. Stegmeir, all voting aye motion carried.
Additional playground equipment and a new picnic table was discussed. The township and community club will come up with a plan for this.
