Chairman L Kec opened Reorganization meeting at 7:36 p.m. Board members present were Supervisor J. Stegmeir, Supervisor M Tomczak, Treasurer D Callais and Clerk M Manninen.
Agenda – The agenda was approved on a motion by Supervisor J Stegmeir, seconded by Supervisor M Tomczak, all voting aye motion carried.
Minutes – The minutes for the April 2, 2019 reorganization meeting were reviewed. Supervisor L Kec moved to approve the minutes, second by Supervisor M Tomczak, all voting aye motion carried.
The following items were approved on motion by Supervisor M Tomczak, seconded by Supervisor J Stegmeir, all voting aye, motion carried.
Officers going forward Chairman – Larry Kec , Vice - Chair Marlene Tomczak. Positions of Chair and Vice-Chair are rotated between Supervisors each year.
Board Meeting Schedule and Location for the township board meetings going forward. 2020 April 7, May 5, June 2, July 7, Aug 4, Sept 1, Oct. 6, Nov ??, Dec. 1, 2021 Jan 5, Feb 2, March 2, April 6. All meetings will be held at the Town Hall, 9707 Gamma Road.
Planning Commission Meeting Schedule going forward – As needed
Official Newspaper – The Journal, International Falls, MN
Township Attorney – Mr. Robert Ruppe
Lead Supervisor for Roads – Supervisor J Stegmeir, backup L Kec
Lead Supervisor for Subordinate Sewer District – Supervisor Stegmeir
Lead Supervisor for Community Town Hall – Supervisor Tomczak
Meeting Notice Posting Place – Gateway Store, Town Hall, Township Web Site and Digital Sign.
Emergency Trail and clean-up contractor – Greg House
Bank Designation – Border State Bank
Subordinate Sewer District Engineer – SEH
Compensation Rates for Township Officers
Chairman - $350.00
Supervisors - $350.00
Treasurer - $350.00
Clerk - $18.00 per hour
Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer - $50.00 per meeting when filling in for the Treasurer or Clerk
Mileage Rate – follow current federal Mileage Rate at that time
Additional Compensation Rates:
Election Judge - $12.00 per hour
Town Hall Cleaning Person - $18.00 per hour
Miscellaneous Clerical duties when Clerk/Treasurer are unavailable - $15.00 per hour
Planning Commission Board Members - $50.00 per meeting attended.
Supervisor Kec moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:03, seconded by Supervisor Tomczak, all voting aye, motion carried.
