Old Business –
PPSSD – Supervisor L. Warrington reported that Septic Check was here and has closed down the system for the winter season. They also asked that while weed whipping is being done that, the person whip around the tanks so Septic Check can see the lids. It was also asked that the snowplowing be done better. The area plowed needs to be wider so a truck can get up the hill and into the gate. Currently Greg House is contracted to do this work. Supervisors L. Kec and L. Warrington will speak with Greg regarding this matter. Septic Check sent back the Operation and Maintenance agreement of the Pucks Point Subordinate Service District. There were some changes in this contract. Their basic monthly service fee for the fall operational period (non-winter months) has increased to $2,000, labor per standard business hours has increased to $130.00 and $170.00 per hour outside of standard business hours. Supervisor L. Warrington moved to accept this contract, seconded by Vice-Chairman, T. Tomczak. All voting aye, motion carried.
Community Sewer Project – John Stegmeir gave an update on the project. Braun has submitted draft log reports from the soil borings to SEH. SEH will begin discussing cost estimates and looking into design alternatives. John created a letter that will be sent out to members of districts F,G,H and J. The letter explains how the project is proceeding currently and has two proposals that members need to read through and send back their inputs on.
Roads – The contract with Greg House for work has been tabled until the January meeting.
Community Center – The snowblower has been purchased. Clerk Manninen suggested that we install two reflectors on either side of the cement block on the back side of the hall so when someone plows back there, they don’t hit that block. Clerk Manninen will purchase these reflectors. The community holiday potluck will be held Saturday, December 9 here at the town hall. Kids activities at 4:30, potluck at 5:30, Santa Claus and baby shower for Theo Callais.
