Chairman L. Kec opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. Board members present were Supervisor L. Warrington, Supervisor T. Tomczak, Deputy Treasurer M. Tomczak, Clerk M. Manninen and three guests. All attending recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
Agenda – The agenda was reviewed, Chairman L. Kec moved to approve the January 3rd agenda, seconded by Supervisor L. Warrington, all voting aye the motion carried.
Minutes – The minutes for the December 6th, 2022, regular meeting were reviewed. Supervisor T. Tomczak moved to approve the minutes as read, second by Supervisor L. Warrington, all voting aye motion carried.

The Treasurer’s report was reviewed, the report was approved on a motion by Supervisor T. Tomczak, seconded by Supervisor L. Warrington, all voting aye motion carried.

Supervisor T. Tomczak moved to accept the claims and pay them in full, seconded by Supervisor L. Warrington, all voting aye motion carried.
Public Comment – None
Guests Bob DeGross, Voyageurs National Park Superintendent and Mark Denker Voyageurs National Park temporary Facility Manager. Bob reported that there will be some potential late winter or early spring burns on Kabetogama at Tom Cade Bay, Erwin Bay and Daley Bay. He mentioned that residents or resort owners could benefit from meeting with the park and the DNR to help get permits for restoring their docks from last year’s flood. Bob will contact the township later to find a good time and date to have a meeting with everyone that would be interested.
Old Business –
PPSSD – Some small issues have come up but are being taken care of at this time. Plowing for the treatment site was discussed and Supervisor L. Kec will contact G. House regarding this matter.
Community Sewer Project – SEH Engineer Bob Stark sent a memo to the board stating that the process for this sewer project is still moving forward. Nothing new to report currently.
Roads – Plowing on Pucks Point road was discussed and Supervisor L. Kec will contact G. House on this matter.
Community Center – Lakes Gas Co. asked that we make a trail to the propane tank so the driver can get to our tank easier. The board will work on this matter.
Other – The county has not reported any decision as to installing a snowmobile crossing sign here at Kabetogama at this time.
New Business – None
Supervisor T. Tomczak made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Supervisor L. Warrington, all voting aye motion carried. Meeting was adjourned at 7:53 p.m.
