Old Business –
PPSSD – Supervisor L. Warrington reported that there was a frozen line at Voyageur Park Lodge. Viitas was called to thaw the line and was told by the property owner not to open the line up so Viitas left without doing the work. Septic Check was told to come out and thaw the line and fix the problem. Rocky Ledge Pumping was called out to pump at Voyageur Park Lodge and try to find the problem at that time also. Voyageur Park Lodge system was fixed and is now running fine. The contract we have with Septic Check states that they do maintenance and winterize the system in the fall. These contract items need to be addressed for future work on this system. Supervisor L. Warrington will work on this. As built drawings for the Pucks Point system are needed also.
Community Sewer Project – Petitions have been received from 28 parcels and have been verified by the Clerk, M. Manninen. There is a Public Hearing to be held on June 27, 2024 at the Kabetogama Town Hall to consider the question of whether the Township Board shall approve the additional properties to be included in the Kabetogama South Shore Subordinate Sewer District. Supervisor L. Warrington made a motion to approve the received petitions, seconded by Supervisor T. Tomczak, all voting aye, motion carried.
Roads – Supervisor L. Kec tried to contact Envirotech Services several times and got no answer. He also called SLC regarding this matter with no luck either. Our township roads have not had calcium chloride on them since 2016. Pucks Point Road needs more gravel. Supervisor L. Kec will get this taken care of. Something needs to be done at the entrance to the dump. SLC Sanitary division oversees this, Supervisor L. Kec will contact them and hopefully get this taken care of also.
Community Center – Nothing new
