Supervisor J Stegmeir opened the meeting at 7:10 p.m. Board members present were Supervisor B Master, Chairman L Kec, Treasurer D. Callais Deputy M. Tomczak and Clerk M Manninen. All attending recited the Pledge of Allegiance. After the pledge the board had a moment of silence for the people of Ukraine.
Agenda – The agenda was reviewed, Supervisor J. Stegmeir moved to approve the agenda with the addition of M Tomczak proposal to PPSSD, seconded by Supervisor B. Master, all voting aye the motion carried.
Minutes – The minutes for the February regular meeting were reviewed. Supervisor J. Stegmeir moved to approve the minutes, second by Supervisor B. Master, all voting aye motion carried.
Treasurer D Callais read her report.

The Treasurer’s report was reviewed, the report was approved with corrections to the Road and Capital Debt. Reduction accounts, on a motion by Supervisor B. Master, seconded by Supervisor J. Stegmeir, all voting aye motion carried.
Claims – Clerk M Manninen read the list of claims.

Supervisor B. Master moved to accept the claims and pay them in full, seconded by Supervisor J. Stegmeir, all voting aye motion carried.
Public Comment – Marlene Tomczak asked if there was anyway that caution lights or signs could be posted at the snowmobile crossings here at Kabetogama and down Ash River. Supervisor J. Stegmeir will contact the county and Supervisor B. Master will contact the V.T.S. I. regarding this request.
Old Business –
PPSSD – Supervisor J. Stegmeir spoke with the MPCA regarding our Financial Plan, (how we manage finances for PPSSD). The MPCA has a form that we fill out and once this is done that becomes part of our permit. The board received a new proposal from Matt Tomczak for the mowing and weed whipping at the treatment site for PPSSD. He is requesting that his rate be increased to $100.00 per mowing for the 2022 season. This is due to inflation and higher gas prices and increased operation costs. Supervisor J. Stegmeir moved to accept Matt’s proposal, seconded by Chairman L. Kec, all voting aye, motion carried.
Community Sewer Project – Supervisor J. Stegmeir signed the new Facilities Plan with SEH for Areas K3 and K5-K8. He spoke with the MPCA for the process and procedure for funding from them to us. Colin an engineer from SEH will be attending our May 3rd meeting to introduce a new engineer to us who will be helping Colin with our project.
Roads – Nothing new.
Community Center – St. Urhos will be held on March 12th with outside games and a potluck.
Other – None
New Business – The township board reviewed the proposed levy for 2023. Their conclusion was to leave it as is. Money can be moved from line to line without increasing the budget. This will be voted on at the annual meeting on March 8th.
The board was asked to approve a resolution because of redistricting in the state. Resolution establishing precincts and polling places. Supervisor J. Stegmeir moved to approve this resolution, seconded by Chairman L. Kec, all voting aye, motion carried.
Supervisor B. Master made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Chairman L. Kec, all voting aye motion carried. Meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
