Regular Meeting
March 2, 2021

Chairman L Kec opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. Board members present were Supervisors M Tomczak, J Stegmeir, Treasurer D. Callais and Clerk M Manninen. All attending recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
Agenda – The agenda was reviewed, Supervisor J Stegmeir moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Supervisor M Tomczak, all voting aye the motion carried.
Minutes – The minutes for the February regular meeting were reviewed. Clerk Manninen will delete the statement in the Pucks Point Sewer discussion (for the next 4 months we will pay $500.00). It should have read we will increase our payment to $1,833.00 monthly per our new contract with Septic Check. Supervisor J Stegmeir moved to approve the minutes with the correction, second by Supervisor M Tomczak, all voting aye motion carried.

The Treasurer’s report was reviewed, the report was approved on a motion by Supervisor M Tomczak, seconded by Supervisor J. Stegmeir, all voting aye motion carried.
Claims – Clerk M Manninen read the list of claims.

Supervisor M Tomczak moved to accept the claims and pay them in full, seconded by J Stegmeir, all voting aye motion carried.
Public Comment – None
Old Business –
PPSSD – Supervisor J Stegmeir stated that there was a frozen grinder this year. Septic Check is working on the problem.
Community Sewer Project – Supervisor J Stegmeir spoke with a property owner who is willing to split out 10 acres that could be used for part of the new sewer project. The cost has not been determined as yet and this will all have to be brought up before the steering committee. Other property can and will be looked at also.
Roads – Supervisor J Stegmeir contacted St. Louis County to have them come up and steam culverts on State Point road.
Community Center – Deana Callais will take over cleaning the Town hall and keeping up supplies. It was decided that she should purchase a new vacuum for the Town Hall.
The Local Board of Appeals and Equalization meeting is set for April 26, from 10 to 11 am here at the Town Hall. The board agrees that this date works fine for them.
Supervisor M Tomczak contacted Mark Lindhurst regarding cleaning cattails and area around the fish. He told Marlene that there is no problem doing so as long as they stay in the same foot print as before. The Kabetogama Lake Association will be in charge of this project.
New Business –
Review annual levy – the board reviewed the previous years expenditures and discussed the levy. No action was taken because this will be voted on at the annual meeting.
The Annual Meeting and elections will be held here at the Town Hall on March 9, 2021. Elections are from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and the annual meeting will begin at 8:15 pm
Supervisor J Stegmeir made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Supervisor M Tomczak, all voting aye motion carried. Meeting was adjourned at 7:53 p.m.
