Old Business –
PPSSD – Supervisor L. Warrington reported that there is something wrong with the air conditioner in the control building at the PPSSD treatment site. He has contacted a repairman to come out and try and fix the problem.
Community Sewer Project – John Stegmeir gave an update on the project. SEH reported that Braun Intertec will be doing some preliminary soil borings along the mainline routes around the first week of November. A letter will be sent out to property owners a couple of weeks before that to give them a heads up.
This project is still on tap for receiving $400,000 in funds from the Clean Water fund in the next biennium. Our representative Mr. Skraba is helping push forward the acquisition of the land we need for the treatment sites, which is trust fund land. John spoke with the Pines of Kabetogama about the community sewer project. John also passed out a letter he created to mail out to potential additional properties that may want to be included in this project. John will work with the clerk to get these letters out.
A letter will be sent out to members of F,G,H,J districts explaining 2 questions that will be posed to them this winter. The first is the question of combining the districts into one to streamline administration. This will be determined by petition next spring. The second question is whether district members want to be included in the approval of new members to the district or have the board approve new members. District members can petition the board to have the entire district membership be included in the petition to add members.
Roads – Nothing at this time.
Community Center – The refrigerator in the kitchen is not working right now and Betsey Warrington has contacted a repairmen to look at it. When the stove was repaired Betsey was told that it is possible to have a reducer put on the fan in the kitchen that would help with the propane odor in the hall. This would be a better solution to the problem that replacing the stove.
