Reorganization Meeting
April 7, 2015

Chairman Robert Nevalainen opened the meeting at 9:00. Board members present were Supervisor Stegmeir, Supervisor Tomczak, Treasurer Gail Nevalainen and Deputy Clerk Carol Stegmeir.
The Agenda was presented. Motion by Supervisor Tomczak to approve agenda with two additions, seconded by Supervisor Stegmeir, all approved, motion carried.
The minutes from the April 1, 2014 reorganization meeting were read and approved on a motion by Supervisor Stegmeir, seconded by Supervisor Tomczak, all approved, motion carried.
Error resulted in overpayment of $50.00 per month to Township Officers in 2014. Officers will repay overpayment.
The following items were read through and approved on a motion by Supervisor Stegmeir, seconded by Supervisor Tomczak, all approved, motions carried.
Chairman, Vice-Chairman – Robert Nevalainen will remain the Chairman and John Stegmeir will be Vice-Chairman.
Board Meeting Schedule and Location for the township board meetings; 2015 April 7, May 5, June 2, July 7, Aug 4, Sept. 1, Oct. 6, Nov. TBD, Dec 1, 2016 Jan 5, Feb. 2, March 1, April 5.
Official Newspaper – The Journal, International Falls, MN newspaper.
Township Attorney – continue using Mr. Robert Ruppe as our Township Attorney.
Road Supervisor – Supervisor John Stegmeir as Road Supervisor.
Community Center Supervisor – Supervisor Marlene Tomczak as Community Hall Supervisor.
Meeting Notice Posting Place – keep the posting places at Gateway Store and the billboard sign across from the Kabetogama Community Hall and the Township Web Site.
Emergency trail and clean-up contractor – keep Greg House as the emergency contractor.
Bank Designation – use Border State Bank as our Financial Institution.
Township Engineer – continue using SEH as the township Engineer.
Planning Commission – Planning Commission will continue to meet quarterly. Meeting dates TBD
Compensation
Compensation Rates for Township Officers:
Chairman - $18.00 per hour
Supervisors - $350.00 salary per month.
Treasurer - $350.00 salary per month.
Deputy Treasurer - $50.00 per meeting when filling in for Treasurer.
Clerk - $18.00 per hour.
Deputy Clerk - $50.00 per meeting when filling in for Clerk.
Mileage Rate – follow current Federal Mileage Rate at that time.
Chairman Nevalainen introduced resolution approving compensation rates for Township officers. Motion by Supervisor Tomczak and second by Supervisor Stegmeir to approve resolution. All approved, resolution passed.
Additional Compensation Rates:
Election Judge - $12.00 per hour.
Town Hall Cleaner – $18.00 per hour.
Miscellaneous Clerical duties when Clerk unavailable - $18.00 per hour.
Planning Commission Board Members - $50.00 per meeting attended.
Motion by Supervisor Tomczak and seconded by Supervisor Stegmeir to approve additional compensation rates. All approved, motion carried.
Supervisor Tomczak moved to adjourn this meeting at 9:45pm. Seconded by Supervisor Stegmeir, motion carried.
