Chairman L Kec opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. Board members present were Supervisors M Tomczak, J Stegmeir, Treasurer D. Callais and Deputy Clerk B Warrington. All attending recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
Agenda – The agenda was reviewed, Supervisor J Stegmeir moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Supervisor M Tomczak, all voting aye the motion carried.
Minutes – The minutes for the August regular meeting were reviewed. Supervisor J Stegmeir moved to approve the minutes, second by Chairman L Kec, all voting aye motion carried.
Treasurer Deana Callais read her report.

The Treasurer’s report was reviewed, the report was approved on a motion by Supervisor M Tomczak, seconded by Chairman L Kec, all voting aye motion carried.
Claims – Deputy Clerk B Warrington read the list of claims.

Total – $3,635.00
Supervisor M Tomczak moved to accept the claims and pay them in full, seconded by Chairman L Kec, all voting aye motion carried.
Public Comment – None
Old Business –
PPSSD – Supervisor J Stegmeir stated that we should be receiving a letter from Arrowhead Lodge requesting that an additional cabin at Arrowhead be added to the system. As of this meeting no letter has been received. Supervisor J Stegmeir will follow up on this.
Community Sewer Project – Nothing new at this time. The Joint Powers Board will be meeting at the Kabetogama Town Hall on September 16th at 10:00 am. They will be presenting an updated comprehensive plan for approval. Ash River Sewer – soil borings need to be done to completer the engineering phase, they also need to decide what to do across the river and they hope to have a shovel ready project by the summer of 2021.
Roads – The arrowhead trail was mowed again, and Pucks Point road has some gravel added.
Community Center – Chairman L Kec added salt to the water softener, Abramsons will be utilizing the town hall to prepare and distribute food to the attendees of their daughter’s wedding on September 26th here at Kabetogama.
Other – Larry Warrington will be stepping down as fire chief of the Kabetogama Area Volunteer Fire Department on October 1, 2020. Brian Wichner will be appointed as fire chief at that time.
New Business – The Cook Hospital levy will not be increased. They have given money to support the Orr and Cook ambulances from levy money. They have given $3,000 to the Kabetogama EMS.
COVID numbers are not good in MN. There are concerns going into the fall. The MN health commissioner has seen that masks helped originally but it has fallen off recently. Supervisor J Stegmeir would like slogans added to the digital sign encouraging social distancing and wearing masks.
North Star Round Up gave $726.00 to the Community Club to purchase new tables for the Town Hall.
Supervisor J Stegmeir made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Chairman L Kec seconded, all voting aye motion carried. Meeting was adjourned at 7:34 p.m.
